In my design practice I’m working with intersectional approaches in the design discourse and from a feminist perspective. In my practice I’m moving between communication design and illustrative work. I aim to break down barriers, work as as inclusively as possible and involve different perspectives.
Queer•be•wusst
An educational workshop about queerness for young people in cooperation with the LGBTI* youth center TRACK.
In cooperation with the LGBTI* youth and counseling center TRACK, I have developed a series of educational materials that interactively educate young people about queer issues.
The material is designed for young people from the 8th grade and is intended to be used in small groups within the context of school workshops.
In the workshop, young people can decide for themselves which of the four thematically different work-packages they want to deal with. It’s supposed to be haptically and visually fun, create empathy for queer realities, destigmatize queer topics & make them conversational in the school context. The workshop was developed in participation with young queer people and social pedagogues.
Discrimination against queer people is ever-present in our society. For me, it is part of an open, tolerant & democratic society that important topics such as the diversity of identity and sexuality are given space at school. My wish is that young people get the chance to develop an understanding for all the diverse realities and possibilities of life.
