For me, design is a combination of aesthetics, function and emotion. With clear concepts, I want to create solutions that are practical and appealing. It is important for me to consider the needs of the user and to find a balance between function and visual impact.
Visual communication for a rehabilitation centre for cancer patients
Informative design for support and orientation.
For my bachelor's thesis, I developed a visual communication for a rehabilitation centre for cancer patients. My aim was to create a design that would both inform and provide hope and support. The inspiration for this came from the realisation that design can communicate difficult issues in an accessible and empathetic way to give patients guidance and boost their confidence during the sensitive period of rehabilitation. In the process, I learned the importance of understanding and addressing the needs and feelings of the target audience - young adults. The biggest challenge was to find the right balance between factual information and emotional appeal, without losing the seriousness of the topic. It was important to me to create a sensitive yet motivating design that would encourage patients and give them confidence in the rehabilitation process. The project was very close to my heart.
