Urban Jungle
The modular green facade that sets the tone for the urban climate of the future.
My project ‘Großstadtdschungel’ is focused on modular facade elements that can improve the urban climate through greenery. What the wildflower meadow is for the perfect lawn, my product offers for the conventional facade: a sustainable and functional solution that impresses with its aesthetics and encourages rethinking.
The natural and regional material clay is turned into an innovative product and an appealing fusion of nature and technology by processing it in a 3D printer. I have been fascinated by 3D printing techniques for several years now. This project is about pushing the boundaries and enabling printing with more ecological materials. We all need to think more sustainably now and in the future. That's why it's particularly important to me to make a statement with ‘Großstadtdschungel’ and to advance innovation through experimental processes and materials. The process to get there was at times a difficult but rewarding one in order to refine the product.
