In addition to projects in the field of communication design, I developed a passion for picture book illustration during my studies at MSD. In my illustrations, I like to draw inspiration from nature, for example through its shapes and colors.
inner bloom
Silent book on the subject of inner fulfillment.
My project deals with the theme of inner fulfillment. The main character develops the ability to discover what is special in the everyday in the midst of a seemingly cold and oppressive environment, in this case a big city, and to grow from it.The book is aimed at all those who sometimes feel uncomfortable in a certain situation or place and is intended to encourage them to draw new strength from the small, inconspicuous things in everyday life, even if they sometimes don't seem immediately obvious. The inspiration for my bachelor's project came from a semester project entitled “Silent Book”. Even back then, I found it fascinating to tell a story through images and emotions alone. The viewer is actively involved as their feelings and ability to “see” become part of the narrative. “As an illustrator, I always find it exciting to see how an idea develops, takes shape and unfolds into a story. There are always new challenges and ups and downs in the process and you constantly grow with it. This is what makes the overall work so personal and approachable in the end - it takes on its own character and you are the designer :-)
