I find design inspiring when it creates meaning and makes important topics tangible. My goal is to work at the intersection of design and society, making content accessible while combining well-thought-out concepts with solution-oriented design in a purposeful way.
Inside Out
A toolboard for reflection and self-organization in the context of chronic illness.
A chronic illness brings physical and emotional challenges that are often difficult to grasp. As part of our master’s thesis and an intensive co-design process with our co-designer, who lives with these challenges, we developed "Inside Out" – a board that makes inner emotional worlds visible and provides structure.
The board integrates tools and methods she already uses, making them easily accessible in one central place. It offers space to reflect on emotions and insights, organize zones of comfort, challenge, and overwhelm, and approach daily life with greater awareness. In this way, "Inside Out" becomes a valuable companion for self-organization and reflection.
We implemented the project as a team of two, as our different areas of expertise enable an interdisciplinary approach and allow us to complement each other with our ideas and methods. The direct collaboration with our co-designer was particularly meaningful, as it allowed us to develop a result that is tailored to her actual needs.
